Build a restaurant site

Menu, photos, how to get there, how to book. A restaurant page lives or dies on the first two.

What this business needs on a site

People check two things before they walk in: are you open today, and how much is it.

If the page cannot answer both, they go back to the map app. That is why menu and photos come first.

What is on the notice board in the room — origin labelling especially — should match the page.

The menu, priced

Course or à la carte, with the amount the guest pays. If prices change by season, say that instead of pretending they never move.

Photos of the room and the plate

People decide from two or three photos. Show the room as it looks at dinner, not empty at noon.

Hours, closing day, directions

Closing day is the single most-searched detail. Put it where it cannot be missed.

Reservation or enquiry

A form that reaches you, or a phone number that dials. Pick one and make it obvious.

What to type

Say what kind of restaurant it is, then list the blocks.

Type something like this한식당 홈페이지를 만들어 줘. 메뉴와 가격, 매장 사진, 영업시간, 오시는 길, 예약 문의 폼이 필요해.

Naming the cuisine changes the tone and the photography, not just the words. A written brief for the room helps more than adjectives.

What we measuredWe have not run this trade end to end. Our real-account test covered seven other trades and all seven built, between 3 min 41 s and 10 min 16 s. Treat this page as a recipe, not as a measurement of restaurants.

What to fix in the result

Step 1. Menu into groups

A single long list is hard to read. Ask for starters, mains and drinks as separate blocks.

Step 2. Real photos in

Upload yours. Keep them under a couple of megabytes each so the page still opens on mobile data.

Step 3. Add the origin table

Ask for an origin labelling section under the menu. It is easier to fill in a table than to sprinkle notes through the dishes.

Check before you publish

Origin labelling

Beef, pork, rice, kimchi and more carry origin labelling duties in Korea. The site should say the same thing as the board in the room.

Prices as paid

Show tax-inclusive amounts. If a service charge applies, write it next to the price, not in small print at the bottom.

Allergens and delivery

Note allergens where you can. If you take delivery or pickup orders through the site, the business and mail-order registration lines apply.

Send one enquiry yourself

Fill in the reservation form as a guest and check that it arrives where you will actually see it.
